Our Mountain Ops team has been busy with the usual summer maintenance\u2014tuning equipment, inspecting lift lines, and keeping everything in top shape behind the scenes. But there\u2019s one big project we\u2019re especially excited about this season: our ongoing work with the\u00a0<strong>Snowright System<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This summer, we\u2019ve spent a ton of time trail mapping\u2014creating a detailed digital baseline of the mountain\u2019s natural terrain. Why does that matter? Well, it helps us know\u00a0<strong>exactly how much snow we need to make<\/strong>\u00a0to fill every dip, knoll, and corner on each trail, instead of relying on estimates. Not only will this lead to better coverage and longer-lasting snow, but it also means we can be\u00a0<strong>smarter and more efficient<\/strong>\u00a0with both water and energy\u2014big wins all around.<\/p>\n<p>The Snowright System will integrate with our snowmaking software to monitor the amount of water pumped on the hill, and it pairs with the technology in our groomers to measure snow depth in real-time. In short,\u00a0it\u2019s a precision snowmaking tool that\u2019s going to help us make just the right amount of snow, right where it\u2019s needed.<\/p>\n<p>Oh\u2014and speaking of grooming,\u00a0<strong>we\u2019ve got a brand-new snowcat arriving this fall<\/strong>, just in time to roll into the season with fresh treads and an even smoother ride.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll keep you posted as more improvements roll out, but for now, just know your favorite trails are getting a little smarter this summer.
